Night Auditor Hilton Garden Inn Richmond/Glen Allen, 4050 Cox Road, Glen Allen, Virginia, United States of America Req #6740 Monday, May 20, 2024 The Night Auditor at the Hilton Garden Inn Richmond Innsbrook is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. This role manages the front desk operation overnight, typically from 11pm to 7am. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Register guests, make reservations, and prepare daily reports - Balance transactions and conduct security walks - Initiate and complete the End of Day process - Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily - Balance miscellaneous revenue, telephone postings, valet laundry, server and desk agent's paperwork - Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed - Transfer master or house accounts as necessary - Run morning reports according to MCR and Brand procedures - Complete any reports as requested by management promptly This role involves providing courteous service to guests throughout their stay, maximizing room revenue, and maintaining security. - Maintain the telephone switchboard - Answer guest inquiries - Establish good communication within the hotel - Assist with breakfast setup - Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally - Maintain guest and hotel information confidentiality and security - Document and resolve guest requests or complaints efficiently - Be aware of rates, packages, and promotions - Assist with room reservations and follow rate quoting scenarios - Be knowledgeable about the hotel, amenities, local attractions, and events - Ensure guest satisfaction through creative problem-solving - Restock front desk area and supplies as required - Perform check-in and checkout processes accurately - Log and deliver packages, mail, and messages MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - Positive attitude and willingness to learn - Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented - Problem-solving skills for customer service - Basic English verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work under pressure - Basic math skills - Alcohol awareness certification as required by the State - Willingness to work varied schedules - Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Company approved software - Clear communication of information and ideas - Desire to serve guests - Legal age to serve alcoholic beverages at select properties PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience in a hotel or related field - Brand knowledge and experience Our Company - MCR is the 3rd-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States - $5.0 billion hotel portfolio with 148 premium-branded hotels What we offer/What's in it for you? - Hotel Discounts - Weekly Pay - Paid Time Off - Retirement Options - Referral bonuses - Career advancement opportunities - Health, Dental, Vision Insurance available after 30 days for full-time team members Other details - Job Family: Hotels - Pay Type: Hourly - Min Hiring Rate: $15.00 - Max Hiring Rate: $16.00
