    Job Title: Special Education Teacher for Extended School Year (ESY)

    Location:Newtown Square, PA

    Duration: June 24th - July 25th

    Hours: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (No ESY on July 3rd and 4th)

    Caseload: Up to 8 students or fewer for Autistic Support or Life Skills Support

    Description:
    We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide instruction and support to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This role focuses on meeting the individual needs of students with Autism or Life Skills needs to prevent regression over the summer break.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students based on their unique needs and IEP goals.
    • Provide direct instruction in academic subjects, social skills, communication, and life skills development.
    • Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and accommodations to support student learning and engagement.
    • Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and other support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to meeting students' needs.
    • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to promote growth and achievement.
    • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and collaborate on strategies for support at home.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, attendance, and behavior.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
    • Valid teaching license/certification in Special Education.
    • Experience working with students with Autism or Life Skills needs preferred.
