Description

The Concierge Team is responsible for greeting and registering patients, as well as verifying all patient information and insurance details upon patient's arrival to the Center for consults, follow up's and fiducial/hydrogel appointments.

Assures that institutional forms are completed and insurance cards are copied for finance. This position will work the closing (evening) shift and must be flexible with hours.


Works directly with new patients arriving at the Center to complete patient portal forms (VTOC) if not completed prior to arrival at the Center.


Provide a positive, nurturing and caring environment and experience for our patients and family members during their cancer journey at ProCure.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the initial physical point of contact, greeting and provide directions to patients and visitors.
  • Receive patient and family members at checkin for consults, weekly management, followup visits and other radiation appointments.
  • Meet with all new patient consults to assure demographics, HIPAA and insurance forms are completed.
  • Meet with all retreat patients to assure demographics, HIPAA and insurance forms are completed.
  • Update HIPAA form/contact information as needed for all follow up patients.
  • Calls patients scheduled for registration appointments 48 hours prior to appointment for VTOC reminder if not completed.
  • Monitor patient/family wait times for appointments/treatment. Notify clinical teams of excessive wait time.
  • Verify insurance demographics with follow up patients for any changes in benefits. Notifies Finance with all changes.
  • Assists finance with insurance verification during roll over periods.
  • Coordinate patient/family needs for location of services within center and/or other facilities.
  • Help plan and execute monthly patient graduation luncheons and other similar events.
  • Be willing to learn and master the use of software tools such as Mosaiq and ADP.
  • Respond to and resolve customer (patient/family/clinical staff/vendors/visitors) concerns as they relate to areas of center reception. Report issues/concerns to the Director/Patient Care Services.
  • Responsible for receiving and directing phone calls in a positive, friendly, patient, and efficient manner.
  • Work directly with new patients if non
- compliant with completing VTOC forms and assist patients with online completion upon arrival to the Center.

  • Create special activities for the pediatric population.
  • Assure that the toys in the children's playroom are cleaned as per ProCure's policy & procedure.
  • Queue patients into Mosaiq upon their arrival for appointments.
  • Reports all concerns/issues to Director, Patient Care Services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members and teammates.
  • Experience with medical forms and electronic records.
  • Experience in a role strongly focused on direct inperson contact with customers in a healthcare or hospitality based environment is a plus.
  • Experience preferably comprising 5+ years.

EDUCATION/DEGREE

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay:
$ $20.00 per hour
