    The opportunity

    The Managing Editor serves as the leader for a team covering our signature channel brand, and is also charged with the development and management of team personnel. As the site's editorial leader, you'll be responsible for ensuring all published copy aligns with the site's audience, mission, and vision.

    This is a highly collaborative role. As Managing Editor, you'll partner with a team of on-staff writers and freelancers as well as an SEO specialist and business development representatives to ensure your topic is covered appropriately. You'll coordinate with other Managing Editors to ensure the entire site is publishing consistently. You'll work closely with Content Operations to source and recruit freelancers. You'll also coordinate with the Creative team to develop graphics and video to support articles.

    What you'll do

    • Develop the quarterly backlog and monthly editorial calendar
    • Build a communication pipeline between Operations, Revenue, our Media Personality, and Editorial
    • Manage several writers, freelancers, and/or copy editors
    • Oversee freelancer assignments and approve invoices
    • Ensure all editorial assignments are appropriately resourced
    • Ensure the topic is meeting production goals
    • Ensure the topic is on budget
    • Conduct quality reviews on content
    • Edit and update content as needed

    Who you are

    • Minimum of 5 years in an editorial leadership role, including management of on-staff writers and freelancers
    • Minimum of 7 years in the publishing industry
    • Comprehensive understanding of editorial strategy for B2B technology coverage
    • Comprehensive understanding and proven experience with the IT channel industry
    • Working knowledge of SEO and revenue best practices preferred
    • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward

    Salary Range

    TechnologyAdvice seeks to hire top-tier individuals across the world and intends for our compensation to be at a rate that allows us to recruit and retain individuals who align with our core values, purpose, mission, and vision.

    Final total compensation is based on a multitude of factors including, but not limited to, skill level, relevant experience to the position, and cost of labor.

    Annual pay range

    $85,000—$135,000 USD
