Overview:
Directly conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products.


Pay commensurate with experience

2nd shift premium = $1.50 p/hr.

Sign-on Bonus $1,000

Paid Vacation upon hire, Benefits after 30 days

Work week is - 10hr. days, Mon. through Thurs. (2pm to 12/midnight)

Overtime on Fri./Sat. (as needed), 12/noon to 8pm

Responsibilities:


  • Provide quality support to the manufacturing departments. Assist production leads and/or supervisors to make decisions regarding possible nonconforming product including containment activities.
  • Monitor and control the quality hold area. Disposition product (request and manage labor to support disposition when needed). Place or remove product hold status. Record disposition of product on hold in the hold log (in CMS).
  • Perform Process Audits
  • Perform Dock Audits as needed.
  • Maintain LDM boards for Quality Alerts as necessary. Attend reviews as assigned.
  • Manage and perform Macro activities as assigned.
  • Initiate Defective Material Inspection Report (DMIR) as assigned.
  • Perform initial containment for customer concerns. Rework / sort of nonconforming product as needed.
  • Create and update process books (including weld master samples) as required. Reference Quality team guidelines regarding quality documentation responsibilities
  • Maintain/file inspection data, work orders and material certifications.
  • Manage and perform gage/measuring tools calibration & minor repair.
  • Perform Gage R&R as required.
  • As needed, participate in Problem Solving activities for internal and external quality issues.
  • As needed, work with 3 plants to provide quality support.
  • Orders supplies/tools used in the quality department.
  • Provides CMM/Layout support as assigned.
  • Perform Safe Launch activities as required.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and specifications, and ability to create spreadsheets.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine root cause.

Qualifications:
GED or high school diploma. Related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.


Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.


Mathematical Skills:


Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.


Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
