In the Application Operations department of NOW IT GmbH, we are looking for a full-time Application Server Administrator (m/f/d) at our Leipzig location.

Your responsibilities


The Application Operations department is responsible for planning, conceptualizing, providing, operating, maintaining, and supporting the database and application services used by NOW IT GmbH. This includes the widespread use of Java application environments, consisting of application servers and load balancers.

Your tasks will include:

  • Participating in the conceptualization of Java application environments, including application servers and load balancers.
  • Setting up, operating, and continuously improving the application environments, and driving the automation of necessary tasks.
  • Analyzing errors in collaboration with various application owners and ensuring the resolution of identified issues.

Requirements

  • A degree in computer science or a comparable education with relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Linux server operating systems (SLES and RHEL).
  • Experience with application servers (JBoss and WebSphere) and load balancers.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
