Head of Financial Accounting (m/f/d)

Location: Bamberg

With more than 50 individual brands, the Mediengruppe Oberfranken offers a cross-media, user-oriented range of services for business and private customers. In addition to the diverse regional daily newspapers and news portals, digital services, entertainment, start-up coaching, marketing complete services, trade media, and delivery services are available for the variety of the company group. Almost 2400 people at around 20 locations contribute to the success of the traditional and future-oriented media house.

Tasks

Responsibility for external accounting, accounts receivable and payable management
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to HGB for the group and its subsidiaries
Handling of tax matters, including ensuring compliance with VAT regulations, support for tax audits, coordination and deadline management of all tax-related reports and declarations
Organization of day-to-day business and further development of processes and tools in accounting
Professional and disciplinary leadership and development of the team
Contact person for auditors, tax consultants and financial authorities
Reporting to the management
Professional support and advice for executives in the group
