Midland University, a private, Christian, liberal arts university in Fremont, Nebraska (just outside of metro Omaha), is accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant - Sports Information Specialist.

This position will be offered within our graduate assistant structure, requiring admission to the University's Master of Education, Master of Science Learning and Talent Development, Master of Science and Sports Administration and Leadership, or Master of Business Administration programs.

The candidate will be responsible for writing game, meet, and event summaries, creating press releases, producing athletics publications, stat keeping, and other tasks and duties.

The position offers tuition remission from the University and may include a monthly stipend and an on-campus meal plan.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Representing Midland University
Writing/Editing and meeting deadlines
Graphic design
Statistics and record keeping
Social media
Website maintenance
Video production

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor's degree (English, Communications, Sports Management or similar preferred)
Good organizational skills
Ability to multitask
Good interpersonal communication skills
A minimum of one semester of demonstrable previous experience in an SID office setting

Additional Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience as a writer, journalist, yearbook editor, or similar
Adobe Creative Suite software experience
Video filming and editing experience
Experience with graphic/publication design using Photoshop and InDesign
StatCrew and/or DakStats software experience
