- Completes periodic, mandatory reports (e.g., CCD/801-A, attendance, meals, time sheets, annual CCR, semi-annual DRDP report and summary, annual parent survey, quarterly preschool enrollment, etc.)
- Manage state licensing requirements
- Oversees daily operation of the various programs directly related to the preschool.
- Enrolls students in accordance with California State Preschool Program regulations.
- Maintains student files following initial enrollment documentation.
- Plans activities and implements curriculum in accordance with individual and class assessments and data, most notably the Desired Results Developmental Profile.
- Organizes resources based on individual needs.
- Engages families through an annual Orientation, Parent Advisory Committee, and education events; connects families to resources in the community
- Orders supplies for classes (in accordance with county and district office policies)
- Plans and implements staff development trainings based on parent feedback and input from staff.
- Operates assigned computer to prepare periodic reports.
- Ensures that all areas are cleaned and maintained according to health and safety standards (e.g., wash all toys, wash play clothes, blankets, towels, cloths, used during the week; wipe down all surfaces).
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Direct the activities of and supervise preschool aged students.
- Develop positive relationships with students and parents.
- Maintain records and operations in compliance with state regulations and subjected to periodic and random audit and inspection.
- Clean spills, feces, urine, vomit, bloody noses and change diapers.
- Complete renewal training and maintain current CDV permits.
- Obtain by the end of the probationary period, and keep current, a State of California Food Handlers Permit.
- Work and communicate effectively with students, parents and staff members.

- Either AA/AS in Child Development or Early Childhood Education or a valid California Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (or ability to obtain waiver)
- Current, valid Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification
- Ability to use a computer, peripherals and educational software.
- Participate in physical activities with students.
- Capable of standing for long periods of time, sitting at small tables, lifting 50 lbs., stooping, reaching overhead and bending at the waist.
- May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, and minor contagious illnesses such as colds, flu, conjunctivitis, head lice, etc., that may occasionally appear in a school environment.
