JOB DESCRIPTION:
Human Resources Coordinator


SUMMARY:

Life Landscaping Inc. is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to assist the HR Department at both Los Angeles based locations. HR Coordinator must be able to handle sensitive information, work quickly and use creative problem solving.

The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Administers health and welfare plans.
  • Prepares newemployee files.
  • Answers employee requests and questions.
  • Supports the administrative part of the new hire process (screening, contracts, updating of HR systems).
  • Helps out where necessary during the preboarding and onboarding of employees, i.e. staying in touch with them, answering their questions, sending them relevant material, and so on.
  • Assists with new employee background checks.
  • Reconciles benefits statements.
  • Conducts audits of HR programs and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists with processing terminations, resignations, furloughs, etc.
  • Assists with the performance review process.
  • Assists with recruitment.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
  • Performs clerical functions, including making photocopies and faxing documents.
  • Files and maintains employee records.
  • Serves and protects the health care community by adhering to professional standards, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and HIPPA standards.
  • All other duties as they arise.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of related experience.
  • Behavioral Healthcare knowledge preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:


  • This position requires prolonged sitting and some light physical activity of walking, sitting, bending, climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Work is performed indoors in a temperaturecontrolled environment, unless otherwise directed.

REPORTS TO:


  • Human Resources and Compliance

LOCATION:


  • Hybrid onsite (Hollywood and Culver City, 1 day per week each location) and remote

CLASSIFICATION:
Non-exempt


HOURLY:
$ $29.00 based on experience


Pay:
$ $29.00 per hour
