Seeking a Chef to create high quality meals for our on the weekends. Looking for someone that can work Saturday and Sundays 9:30am - 6:00pm to meal prep, cook and other duties.


The Chef is responsible for the knowledge and administration of requirements of the Health Regulations in the state of California; being respectful to clients; and engaging in food preparation and nutrition education with clients, while in a therapeutic setting.

Seeking quality over quantity.

We are not looking for someone that is interested in cooking cafeteria style food, but someone that will take pride in every plate because our clients want something that tastes good and looks good everyday.


Ideally want someone who has 3+ years of experience working in a high end restaurant or facility creating a number of types of cuisine.

We do have clients with various dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, dairy free and/or gluten free); therefore, someone who is well versed in adapting the main meal to fit a possible dietary restriction.

Pay will be dependent on experience but very competitive. Please send in your resume with your interview availability as we need to fill this position immediately


Qualifications:


  • Food Handlers Certificate and/or other Certifications.
  • Understanding and in charge of everything related to the kitchen, including menu planning, shopping, State licensing and Regulation Standards, and personnel management.
  • Clean up and sanitary regulations of kitchen management.
  • California State Driver's license and ability to drive agency van or personal vehicle to carry out duties.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgrounds.

Major Duties:


  • Work with Operations Director and weekday chef on meal plans, schedules, grocery shopping and other kitchen and food preparation related items.
  • Prepare all meals as scheduled.
  • Provide a safe, secure and clean kitchen area for staff and clients.
  • Get food supplies ready for daily needs.
  • Maintain Certifications and/or licenses as needed.
  • Document any incidences related to kitchen issues. Respond to emergencies and initiates action as required.
  • Follow HIPAA Compliance.
  • Participate in development of Quality Improvement Projects.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training as required.
  • Planning for holiday meals
  • Other duties as assigned.
