The Employment Development Department's Tax Branch is one of the largest tax collection agencies in the nation and we have one (1) Staff Tax Auditor (STA) opening in the Field Audit and Compliance Division's, Anaheim Area Audit Office, Technical Audit and Outreach Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you rotate or promote while working with a great team


Under the general direction of the Tax Administrator I, the STA conducts audit review on the majority of completed audits of the most difficult, complex, and sensitive accounts typically involving the largest employers with multiple status issues and computerized accounting systems.

Officially represents the Department at tax or benefit hearings; reviews petitions and prepares responses to petitions. Identifies and develops audit leads for out of state and local Area Audit Office.

This position is located in Anaheim, CA and may be eligible for telework under EDD's telework policy. California Government Code Section 14200 requires employees to reside in California to telecommute. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office, as needed. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee
