The purpose of this role:


The
JHU Learning & Development Leader **is responsible for designing and executing the enterprise people development strategy for the James Hardie organization and employees.

The leader oversees all aspects of learning and development, including high-potential development, leadership development, functional training, and various developmental programs throughout the employee lifecycle.

The individual in this role collaborates closely with multiple stakeholders while utilizing talent insights to address capability gaps and ensure business needs are a priority.


Primary Position Responsibilities:


  • Design and execute the enterprise people development strategy and roadmap, including oversight of global standards, to connect learning and development with business priorities across key audience
  • Provide expertise on best approaches and modes of learning to identify learning solutions for leaders and employees throughout their career progression.
  • Drive the L&D programs end to end including analyzing learning needs, objectives, and expected outcomes of learning programs as well as planning, project management, and execution of projects on time and within scope for key stakeholders
  • Facilitate research, planning, content development, and implementation of new programs that build capability across the leadership continuum.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including business leaders, HR colleagues and others, to identify skill gaps and build solutions to meet business needs that create endtoend learning experiences.
  • Oversee assessment/evaluation of businesswide training and development programs and initiatives based on impact, knowledge and behavior change
  • Measure program delivery quality and adjust program delivery approaches to maintain pace with business growth.
  • Model best practices including stateoftheart adult learning principles and digital tools/technologies to deliver top notch training programs and identify, select and manage vendor partners to execute on strategy.
  • Provide ongoing leadership to the learning team in the design and delivery of learning solutions.
  • Remain current with innovative Learning & Development practices and informed on bestin class practices.
  • Be a champion for the James Hardie business operating culture and core values to promote exceptional business performance. Support continuous improvement and a standard of excellence across the company.

Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design/Training, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Organization Development, Business, or a related field; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years of progressive experience working in Human Resources, with at least five (5) years leading in a training, learning & development role
  • A transformational leader who can successfully oversee the development and implementation of a comprehensive learning strategy using a multitude of formats and offerings
  • Ability to build strong partnership within HR and the business and drive the Company and HR Strategy
  • Ability to plan and project manage people programs and changes
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong strategic and creative thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility at all levels within the organization and influence senior leaders
  • Strong business acumen, developed in a manufacturing environment preferred
