Software Engineer

Long Term Contract

Brooksource is searching for a Software Engineer for one of our enterprise-level clients in the Birmingham, AL area. The right person will have a passion for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting software systems. You will work closely with business analysts and customers to gather requirements in order to ensure the customer's business needs and expectations are met in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be using hands on development to complete tasks, assess the systems and provide advisory and leadership to the team.

You will be considered 'a top expert' by peers in one or more important areas of expertise, such as, a programming language, computer system, data base, etc. Our ideal candidate is familiar with the entire SDLC from preliminary system analysis to testing and deployment. This position will be part of a growing team of developers and analysts who are dedicated to doing things the "right way", always striving to leave something better than they found it and have fun doing it.

Required skills:

4+ years in C#, ASP.Net, .Net framework
ASP.Net Web API
SQL Server 2012+ experience required
RESTful Service
Experience with JavaScript and single page frameworks: Angular, REACT, Vue, etc.
Experience with and ability to work with business customers to implement solutions for business opportunities.
Strong attention to detail and ability to solve complex technical problems.
Experience in an Agile environment
