Job Overview:


As a Staffing Coordinator at GrandCare Health Services here is what you may expect:We are seeking a highly efficient Staffing Coordinator who thrives in a fast paced setting to join our team.

As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in scheduling clinicians with patient visits within appropriate time frames.

Under the general supervision of the Director of Patient Care Services, the Staffing Coordinator performs clerical/scheduling activities that facilitate agency operations.

These activities include coordination of employee schedules with patient wants/needs, processing intake information, and communication with referral sources. The Staffing Coordinator at GrandCare Health Services plays one of the most critical roles in our organization.


Responsibilities:


Scheduling -

  • Maintain schedule for services requested and provided to agency patients.
  • Assure that cases are filled within established time frames.
  • Complete documentation (paper or automated system).
  • Provide appropriate notification of schedule to employee, patient, contract agency, supervisor, and others as appropriate.
  • Respond to emergency calls and arrange schedules accordingly.
  • Provide direction to field staff and communicate with supervisors as needed to assure safe and effective coverage of patient needs.
  • Assign agency staff to patients as directed by the care plan and service request.
  • Assure employees receive complete and accurate directions and information about patient needs.
  • Report on any scheduling changes to supervisor. Notifies patient of changes and monitors employee performance in areas of dependability, responsiveness, timeliness, and patient concerns.
  • Participate in the evaluation and performance review of field staff.
  • Monitor overtime and mileage records of employees.
  • Participate in determining hiring needs.
  • Verify time records with schedules.
  • Follow up with employees on scheduling problems encountered by the oncall staff.
  • Minimize substitution of employees and maximizes permanent coverage.
  • Maintain adequate numbers of available oncall staff.
  • Notifies Supervisor/Human Resource Department of staff needs
  • Meet with nursing and marketing staff to anticipate needed coverage (new patients' increased needs).

  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  • Respect the confidentiality of information in patient and employee records.
  • Share information in accordance with agency policy.
  • Protect documents in a manner that prevents unauthorized access.

  • Perform job in compliance with agency policies and procedures as well as community and professional standards.
  • Accept responsibility in accordance with the role of the Staffing Coordinator.
  • Assure compliance with applicable state, federal, and JCAHO standards.
  • Attend meetings and educational programs as required.
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional development.
  • Participate in the agency's ongoing quality improvement activities.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities.

Experience:


  • Current staffing experience, preferably staffing for a hospital, medical center, multi site medical clinic, home health agency, or any other large employer with many fulltime and per diem staff
  • Knowledge of medical terminology or general medical background desirable

Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to build rapport with clinicians.
  • Selfdirected with the ability to work with little supervision.
  • Excellent observation skills
  • Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligation
  • Able to work swiftly, accurately, and gracefully in a fastpaced, tight deadline oriented environment

Pay:
$ $21.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
