Work Arrangement:

This position falls under a hybrid work model. In simpler terms, the chosen candidate is required to be present at Warren office at least thrice a week.

Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this role. Any costs related to relocation will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

The Role:

As a Senior Buyer, you will be tasked with procuring various types of materials, supplies, machinery, and services, either in part or entirety. Your responsibilities will include actively contributing to the development of commodity strategy, engaging in sourcing and negotiations, executing global/regional material budgets, and collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders. This position demands a high level of autonomy, analytical skills, and sound judgment.

What You'll Do:

Maintain sourcing pipeline and benchmarking data
Adhere to corporate purchasing and accounting practices
Engage in sourcing and contracting activities such as bid strategy, bid analytics, and negotiation
Participate in supplier interface activities and support commercial budget activities
Manage logistics supplier initiatives and relationships
Handle rate management activities and supplier KPI reviews

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or related field

- Proficiency in commodities

- Strong ability to work independently

- Excellent written and oral communication skills

- Exceptional analytical skills

- Interpersonal and negotiation skills

- Capable of interpreting contracts

- Global business acumen

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field

- Willingness to travel

Background in the automotive industry
Knowledge of materials management
Ability to interpret market data
Skills in reading blueprints and understanding engineering documents
Familiarity with contract law related to purchasing processes
