Patient Care Technician (Nursing Assistant) position in Critical Care Unit (Day / Evening/36 hour work week)

The Critical Care Unit is a 55-bed unit that provides patient focused care through a multidisciplinary team approach. Quality and patient outcomes are the heat of our practice.

Provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care.

The Patient Care Technician provides patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse. Impacts patient comfort and outcome of care. Acts as member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs. Assists in completion of activities of daily living, mobilization, admit/discharge and obtaining vital signs. Updates and retrieves patient information. Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Acts as part of an assigned care team.

Shift:
This position works 3-12/hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
Evening/Nights

Education

Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Preferred:
One year of recent experience working as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting.

Licensure/Certification

Preferred:
Nursing Assistant Certification.
