Primary Responsibilities:
We strive to exceed the expectations of our members and guests.
We do everything we can to entertain and serve each member/guest one at a time, making them feel as though we are here just for them.
To prepare and serve alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverages. To serve as a support service to the wait staff.
Duties:
Opening Procedures -
- Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available
- Requisition additional supplies and alcohol as necessary.
- Follow setup procedures.
- Prepare garnishes, mixes and premixed drinks.
- Check quality of juices and cream.
- Stock and polish all necessary glassware; inform manager of shortages.
- Mix, prepare and serve drinks according to standards. Do not open a bottle unless you are sure that there isn't one already open.
During Service Hours
- Maintain and clean all bar equipment.
- Report complaints to the manager as soon as they occur.
- Put away deliveries of beer, wine and spirits.
- Maintain records of liquor, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
- Inform the manager immediately if any of the above is not up to par.
- Answer the phone as necessary and transmit messages.
- Ensure that all club policies and procedures are followed.
- Work safely. Inform your manager of any potentially dangerous situation. It is every employee's responsibility to work safely, and the safety of our members and our employees can never be sacrificed.
- Do not serve alcohol to minors (under 21) or intoxicated guests/members; inform your manager immediately.
- Assist with service of wait staff whenever possible. Pay attention to the details (refilling water, pulling chairs out for women, refolding napkins when guests are away from the table).
Closing Procedures
- Sweep and mop bar storage floors at the end of your shift (see schedule)
- Clean and lock up according to listed procedure.
- Replace syrup and C02 as necessary. Put away syrup boxes on racks when delivered.
- Lock up according to prescribed procedures.
- Check with manager on duty before leaving.
Requirements:
Must be over the age of 21 to serve alcohol.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for 8 hours.
