Design Draftsman
Marathon Finishing is a dynamic, fast paced, rapidly evolving, & continuously improving business based in Temecula, California. We relentlessly strive for excellence & are looking for a Draftsman with similar ideals.


Responsibilities

• Take products & projects from conceptual 2D Cad drawings to a complete 3D design using Autodesk Inventor

3D Autodesk Inventor user required

• Create Fabrication & Assembly drawings of company products.
• Research, design, evaluate & improve the design of existing engineered mechanical products
• Prepare & estimate costs for manufactured equipment, engineering & construction projects
• Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions and increase efficiency.
• Assist in selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, & operation of product designs.
• Create initial concept drawings to assist Sales Department

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma with college prep classes/training/equivalent experience on Autodesk Inventor Software
• Minimum of 3 years layout drafting experience is a plus
• Basic understanding of engineering principles

Preferred skills

• Ability to use E.R.P. management software
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor software strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software a plus
• Strong problemsolving skills
• A good knowledge of how to use Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
• An excellent grasp of engineering & design principles
• Excellent communication skills
• An understanding of manufacturing processes & construction methods
• Knowledge of electronic equipment & computer hardware & software
• Selfmotivated & highly organized

Monday-Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm with OT/ Saturday if needed
