    Exciting Job Opportunity: Cyber Underwriting Specialist/Manager

    Qualifications:

    • Experience Matters: You'll need 4-6 years of hands-on experience in Cyber underwriting. Your expertise will be crucial in assessing risks and making informed decisions.
    • Educational Background: A BA or BS degree, ideally in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting, will set you up for success in this role.

    Responsibilities: As our Cyber Underwriting Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our risk portfolio. Here's what you'll be doing:

    1. Submission Generation and Policy Issuance: You'll be at the forefront of underwriting Cyber & Technology Liability accounts. Your expertise will drive our risk assessment process, ensuring we provide comprehensive coverage to our clients.
    2. Relationship Building: Forge strong, long-term relationships with agents, brokers, and policyholders. Your ability to connect and collaborate will be key to our success.
    3. Pipeline Development: Generate a robust pipeline of submissions that align with our department's appetite. Your keen eye for risk assessment will guide our growth.
    4. Risk Evaluation: Dive into applications and related materials to determine risk acceptability. Your insights will shape our risk portfolio.
    5. Cybersecurity Assessment: Participate in underwriting calls with clients and brokers, assessing their cybersecurity controls. Your expertise will help us stay ahead of emerging risks.
    6. Business Decision Making: Exercise sound judgment and negotiation skills based on your authority level. Your decisions will impact our bottom line.
    7. Effective Communication: Prepare quotes and address queries from brokers and policyholders. Your ability to articulate underwriting positions will be crucial.
    8. Stay Informed: Keep up with claim trends and changes in the legal and regulatory landscape. Your knowledge will keep us ahead of the curve.
    9. Forecasting: Provide monthly forecasts for new and renewal business. Your insights will drive our strategic planning.
    10. Performance Monitoring: Monitor new business flow, quote ratio, and hit ratio. Your analytical skills will help us stay on track.
    11. Collaboration: Work closely with other underwriters and functional areas. Your cross-sell strategies will enhance our overall performance.
