We are a veterinary dermatology practice looking for either a veterinary technician/assistant with at least 2 years of veterinary experience.

Previous experience in dermatology is a plus, but not required.

We are a friendly, team-oriented, and supportive clinic. We practice high-quality medicine with excellent customer service.

Applicants must be responsible, flexible, and able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Our staff must have excellent communication skills and enjoy interacting with the clients and their pets.

Veterinary Technician job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting doctors with histories and exams, filling prescriptions, reviewing home care instructions with caregiver/owner, and answering questions.
• Effective but gentle patient restraint
• Administering medications and injections
• Performing and assisting with treatments such as ear cleanings, blood draws and IV catheter placement
• Preparing allergy testing kits, immunotherapy refills and ear medications.
• Assisting in endofday tasks such as cleaning and prepping surgical instruments, restocking supplies as needed, and prepping and cleaning of cages
• Must be reliable and on time. Must have a flexible schedule during the week. Commute to West LA/Santa Monica area must be feasible.
• Must be able to clearly communicate and relay information to doctors and owners, both verbally and written.
• Must be able to lift 40+ lbs
