    Process EngineerEcovyst's subsidiary, Ecoservices, is on the hunt for a Process Engineer to be based at our Baton Rouge, LA plant.


    Responsibilities:


    Appliesengineering principles to design, modify, or develop facilities, testing, machines,equipment or processes used in processing Sulfuric Acid in a regenerationsulfuric acid unit.

    Analyzesexisting acid process, equipment, and performance to determine optimal plantoperations.
    Utilize OSI PI software to diagnose plant problems andenhance unit performance improvements.
    Utilizetechnical information concerning manufacturing or processing techniques,materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations to improvelong-range improvements in the plant.

    Completessmall capital project SCOPE development and execution of small projects (BCER< $25k)Develops andimplements project activities through the coordination of efforts ofsubcontractors, maintenance, production departments, and other operationalpersonnel.

    Perform Scope activitieswhich include, design, design review, establishes timeline, materialprocurement, resource allocation, project execution, coordinate effortbetween all involved parties, monitor/track progress to ensure adherence toschedule.

    Attend status meetings toensure safety, and quality compliance.

    Tracksprocedure and process changes utilizing Management of Change form (MOC) todocument the coordination and communication to appropriate personnel as tothe stages of implementation till completion.

    Participatein Unit HAZOPS and follow-up action items as required to mitigate risks inthe unit from the PHA.MaintainUnit Safety File updates relative to the MOC process and procedure.

    Maintain good PSM standards in theunit.
    Participatein incident investigations and follow-up action items from incidents.
    This involves tasks such as chemical leakcalculations and engineering corrective actions.
    Works with Maintenanceto develop Mechanical Integrity reports on specific equipment and assist in executingrepairs.
    Utilizesknowledge of equipment and machine capabilities to develop action plan toincrease the reliability and optimization of the unit.
    Recognizes problems and opportunities toformulate action plan(s)for obtaining/surpassing unit standards and achievingproduction and quality goals.
    Compilesmonthly / weekly reports as needed.

    Providessupport to operations personnel to troubleshoot day-to-day activities in theunit, and work closely with the Unit Manager, Unit Lead Specialist, Maintenancepersonnel and operators.

    Providessupport during absence of Unit Manager as needed.
    Act as asteward for maintaining excellent HSSE performance in the unit - fulfill theHSSE Leadership Expectations.
    Developsappropriate safety training for personnel regarding changes in procedures,and accountability.
    Review allincidents in Incident/accident database and Safety Concerns.
    Be professional and ethicalat all times and treat employees, contractors and customersrespectfully.
    Other responsibilities asassigned by unit management.
    Stands call duty as needed to support plant needs on aperiodic basis. Includes off-hourscall.

    Will need to support the variousplant areas either on site or over the phone, which means a familiarity withall areas is needed.

    Works with other units to ensure plant goals are metsafely and effectivelyHold all employees accountable; including my peers,hourly employees, engineers and myselfWork with operators to keep al SOPs, EOPs, and COPsupdatedWork with contractors and engineers in the unit; beinvolved in the projects as needed.

    Conduct and/or attend Toolbox Safety meetings withthe operators as well as attending other mandatory safety meetingsAttend Tiered Accountable productions meeting and provideunit status.

    Communicate with loading area, TS, IFS, and customers asneeded.

    Stay aware of and communicate asnecessary, how unit operations will impact all other plant areasPerform required operational interlock check test as required.


    Requirements:
    B. S.

    degree in Engineering degree 0 to 5 years in chemical processingPossess current or possess ability to obtain Transportation Worker's Identification Credentials (TWIC) card.
