    Speech Language Pathologist Clinical Specialist - Houston, United States - Texas Children's Hospital

    Are you an Acute Care Speech Pathologist looking for an exciting opportunity? Join our team where you can make a real difference in the lives of young patients!

    Responsibilities:

    • Skilled in managing pediatric dysphagia
    • Capable of assessing cognitive-linguistic deficits informally
    • Familiar with pediatric airway disorders
    • Strong understanding of oral feeding development in infants and toddlers
    • Effective collaboration with medical team members
    • Maintaining necessary records and documentation
    • Conducting formal tests when required
    • Referring for additional evaluations as needed
    • Providing colleagues with in-service training
    • Promoting speech-language pathology services

    Qualifications:

    • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
    • CCC-SLP certification from ASHA
    • TX-SLP license from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
    • Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatric speech-language pathology
    • Strong preference for 3 years of experience in pediatric feeding and swallowing
    • Preferred 2 years of inpatient experience
    • Highly preferred background in acute/inpatient settings
