Description
The Site Safety Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the safety training and compliance objectives of the construction site. The Site Safety Coordinator must have construction safety experience and hold valid OSHA 30, First Aid & CPR certifications. Prefer the individual to be bilingual (English/Spanish).


Responsibilities:


  • Conducts job site inspections
  • Performs job task analysis
  • Conducts new employee orientations
  • Performs onthejob training
  • Conducts tool box talks
  • Manages risk factors
  • Investigates accidents involving site employees
  • Investigates motor vehicle accidents involving site employees
  • Site postaccident drug screens
  • Supervises "suspicious nature" drug screens
  • Conducts site general liability damage assessments
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Prefer bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Must have OSHA 30, First Aid & CPR certifications
  • 3 years of construction safety experience required
  • Must be able to work in outdoor construction environment, bend, kneel, lift, walk/stand for long periods

From $60,000.00 per year

Education:


  • High school or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

Construction Safety: 2 years (required)
Construction Experience: 2 years (preferred)


Language:


  • Spanish and English (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • First Aid Certification (required)
  • OSHA 30 Certification (required)

Shift availability:

  • Night Shift (preferred)
  • Day Shift (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Springfield, VA: Relocate before starting work (required)
