Summary:

Installs, maintain, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical system by performing the following duties.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs preventative maintenance on machinery per schedule.


Reviews manufacture's services manuals, own establishment's usable schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventative maintenance.

Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance.

Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.


Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.

Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.

Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.


Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.

Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.

Installs and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.


Set up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts.

Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 6-7 employees in the maintenance department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibility include training employees, planning assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Education and/or
Experience:


High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Understanding of writing logic. Training on CNC equipment.


Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with other managers, supervisors and employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, Subtract, Multiply, And divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. Common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, Ratio, And percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
