- Actively involved in leading research, due diligence, and investment recommendations for retirement plans
- Collaboration on strategy and initiatives with key retirement plan stakeholders
- Strategically involved in business development as a subject matter expert to assist advisors with in-person client engagements to help generate new business and support existing relationships
- Participation in several different investment committees to lead investment decisions and recommendations for various RBC WM retirement plan types
- Provide timely insight, information and guidance through both written (i.e. white papers) and verbal (i.e. firm-wide calls) communication
- Assume coverage of Target Date Funds and other retirement asset classes such as Stable Value funds. What do you need to succeed? Must haves:
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills
- Proven analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and organizational awareness skills
- Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Adaptable to changing market and business conditions
- Proficient in use of software tools such as Microsoft office suite, Morningstar, eVestment, Factset, and Bloomberg
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Series 7 license or the ability to acquire shortly after starting in the role. Nice-to-have:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting research and due diligence on investment managers or other research related to retirement plans and products
- Solid understanding of key investment products and concepts including portfolio management, investment strategy (asset allocation), and investment structures (i.e. mutual funds or limited partnerships)
- Demonstrated ability to lead by example and operate at a high performing level with less oversight and direction from other colleagues
- CFA/CAIA designation and/or advanced educational degrees What's in it for you?
