    Mercer Investments is seeking candidates for the following position based in the Saint Louis or Minneapolis location.

    Investment Operations Specialist

    What can you expect?

  • The Operations Analyst will work with a team of 6 other Not for Profit Operations team members
  • You will have responsibility for completing daily, monthly, and ad hoc processes in support of team charter responsibilities of trading execution and reconciliation, data integrity and system administration
  • You will have the opportunity to collaborate internally with Operations associates and management along with portfolio management, client service, and compliance teams
  • You will assist clients with preparing various alternative investment fund documents
  • Provide operational support and efficiencies to client implementation & onboarding teams to deliver customized investment solutions utilizing existing platforms, models, and procedures
  • Perform system administration duties, i.e. new fund, account setups and portfolio allocation targets
  • Draft trade instruction letters for third-party product managers and client custodians on behalf of portfolio managers
  • Perform daily client reporting and month-end plan reconciliation workflows
  • Work closely with custodians, clients, investment firms and internal stakeholders to fulfill cash monitoring responsibilities
  • Work with operations analysts and technology team to resolve issues
  • Ensure that all daily data is loaded and reconciled into trading and reporting systems

    • What you need to have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an environment where adherence to procedures and controls is critical
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel

    • What makes you stand out:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study preferred
  • Previous experience communicating with senior level client contacts preferred
  • Previous experience with Charles River Investment Management System preferred
  • Proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment, while maintaining ownership over individual responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, clear and effective communication, both written and oral; ability to multi-task
