Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Surgical Scheduling:
- Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures for patients, including those involved in workers' compensation and personal injury
cases.** - Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to ensure efficient scheduling of surgeries based on patient needs, physician availability, and facility resources.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date surgical schedules, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff.

Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury
Coordination**:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients involved in workers' compensation and personal injury
cases requiring surgical interventions.*** - Liaise with insurance companies, attorneys, employers, and other relevant parties to obtain authorization for surgical procedures and ensure compliance with workers' compensation and personal injury
regulations.** - Verify insurance coverage, obtain preauthorization for surgeries, and facilitate communication between all stakeholders to expedite the approval process.
3.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of surgical schedules, patient information, insurance authorizations, and documentation related to workers' compensation and personal injury
cases.** - Ensure that all documentation is completed in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Patient Education and Support:
- Provide clear and comprehensive information to patients regarding surgical procedures, preoperative instructions, and postoperative care requirements.***
- Address patient questions, concerns, and inquiries related to surgery scheduling, insurance coverage, and workers' compensation/personal injury
processes.**
5.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, insurance companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.**
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of surgical scheduling processes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.**
- Previous experience in surgical scheduling, particularly with a focus on workers' compensation.

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year
