Light Energy is searching for a Director of Technology Systems to join our New York team working out of our office in Latham, NY.

U.S.

Light Energy is a growing and dynamic company in the solar renewable energy industry, focused on Community Solar in the Northeastern United States.

We believe that everyone should have access to clean, renewable energy, and the most equitable way to achieve that is through human-scaled Community Solar projects that meet a community's energy and climate goals at the local level.

We have more than 550MWs of New York Community Solar projects in development and are currently building out these projects and actively adding additional generation capacity.

To support our ambitious goals, we are seeking a Director of Technology Systems with a visionary approach and a steadfast commitment to continuous improvement.

This pivotal role demands a blend of technological expertise, leadership, and a passion for sustainability.

As our Director of Technology Systems, you will lead the charge in driving system-wide enhancements, spearheading new initiatives, and fostering a culture of efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Through collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will ensure our technology infrastructure not only meets but exceeds the demands of our dynamic industry, delivering unparalleled performance and supporting our mission to power the world sustainably.


Essential functions:

  • Innovative Leadership: Drive innovation across all technology systems, ensuring the adoption of best practices and cuttingedge solutions, including software and hardware.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous process improvement strategies to enhance system efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for technology systems that align with company objectives and the renewable energy transition.
  • Project Management: Lead the planning, implementation, and coordination of new technology initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Crossfunctional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to integrate technology solutions that support organizational goals and improve operational efficiency.
  • Cost Management: Identify and implement costreduction initiatives without compromising on quality or performance.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a highperforming technology team capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving industry.

Competencies:

  • Strong technical acumen, with a deep understanding of current and emerging technology trends.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technology projects and leading crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think strategically and analytically.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Experience with MS Azure, MS 365, MS Power BI, NetSuite, and Salesforce is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AI, Machine Learning, and Automation is strongly preferred.
