is on the search for a Manufacturing Engineer for its growing US office and manufacturing facility located in Winder, GA.

This position will be responsible for improving the bottom line by reducing non-value-added labor and working with all members of management to reduce material costs.

The position will be the leader of determining product cost opportunities that can result in higher gross profit percentage or additional business.

The successful candidate will work with all areas of manufacturing to include

Design Engineering, Maintenance/Tooling, Purchasing, and Production Control department.

ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with the management team to develop Operational Method Sheets, training checklists, and training matrixesWork with the Safety Manager to identify and implement safe procedures and enhance ergonomics in the manufacturing processEstablish production process procedures and measurement parameters for new products and processesProvide marketing and engineering with the cost of new, redesigned, and current productsSpecify design of equipment/tools to assist in new and existing production processes, and obtain quotes/bids for the construction of equipment to submit with recommendationsProvide support for the management team by providing manufacturing engineering technical expertise and working collaboratively on manufacturing processesLead in continuous improvement/cost down eventsUtilize work measurement tools to analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilizationEstimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisionsAnalyze operational data such as workforce utilization, facility layout, and workflow to design layout of equipment and workspace following lean manufacturing principles for maximum effectiveness of workers and equipmentEnsure manufacturing systems are operational and functioning effectivelyRecommend methods for improving worker effectiveness, safety, and quality; and reducing costs, including recommendations regarding restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow consistent with demand flow technology, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipmentQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
