WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


  • Communicate regularly with the Purchasing Managers, Parts Managers, and Purchasing Agents on anticipated department needs and timelines for anything on order
  • Search for and negotiate the best pricing for required items
  • Issue purchase orders to vendors to acquire parts and supplies needed by the customer
  • Record all necessary information for the transaction and ensures only completed (and not blank) PO's are submitted
  • Confirm ordered parts are received timely and takes ownership of issues that slow down the supply chain
  • Work with Receiving and Accounts Payable to make sure items are received timely, so work orders can be closed out for invoice
  • Stay within purchasing budgets
  • Check stock/inventory availability
  • Crossing parts
  • New vendor approvals
  • Stock order approvals
  • Monitor long lead times
  • Monitor backordering with weekly reports sent to customers
  • Work with Accounts Payable on any invoicing issues/discrepancies
  • Monitor/Manage open PO's weekly
  • Responsible for the tracking and return of core items for credit
  • Return unneeded or improperly ordered parts timely
  • Provide and manage tracking of shipments/parts
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures as referenced in the company's safety manual
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:


  • Proficient computer skills including in Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel and Word) and company management software (Manager Plus)
  • An understanding of the importance of time management and prioritization
  • Detail oriented
  • Professional and clear communication skills
  • Ability to manage the public, vendors, and other teammate's relationships

Pay:
From $50,000.00 per year
