Summary Paragraph of Job Responsibilities
The General Technician (ET) performs assigned duties at client sites and at CT Industrial

Services owned sites. A technician is responsible for the safe execution of their duties on

general construction projects.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Primary duties and responsibilities are specific functions and/or the main duties required

to do one job. They are the reason that the job exists and must be performed by the

employee in this position.

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following all policies,
processes, and always acting in a safe manner.

  • Completion and submission of daily checklists, as required, to document the
proper and safe operation of CTIS (CT Industrial Services) owned vehicles and/or

equipment.

  • Ensures work meets all applicable health and safety, quality, and compliance
standards.

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management and will be required
by CTIS business needs.

  • Adheres to and ensures constant compliance with Health and Safety and
regulations.

  • Must have competency to complete online mandated Health and Safety/corporate/
regulatory training as mandated by CTIS Health and Safety.

  • Work in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions:
including extreme heat and cold while wearing various levels of PPE.

  • Works extended (8 hours) time periods per shift.
  • A valid state issued drivers license is required and contingent upon hiring and is a
continuing condition of employment.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English for the safety and effectiveness of
this position.

Preferred but not Required

  • Experience with general construction such as concrete forming, pouring and
removal, silt fence installation, pressure washing, working with hands, using a

soil tamper, etc.


Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write and speak English for the safety and effectiveness of
this position

  • Ability to lift greater than 50 lbs

Important Items

  • Extensive traveling is mandatory as needed. Crews occasionally travel out of
town Monday thru Friday

  • 2 men per hotel room until Supervisor level
  • Per diem is $30.00 per day that employee is out of town and stays overnight away
from home.

  • Training pay is paid at $12.50 per hour
  • Travel pay is paid at an hourly travel rate of $7.25 per hour or a predetermined
flat rate. If work is less than 30 geographical miles from the shop, pay will start

once the employee is on the job site.


Pay:
From $20.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
