    Limited Duration: This is a full-time, limited duration position, currently funded through June 30, 2025. Continuation beyond that date is subject to available funding.

    Benefits to you

    • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
    • The hourly equivalent for this position is $ $49.85. [OR the annual salary for this position is $66,828 - $103,680.]
    • 10 paid holidays, 2 floating holidays, 3 personal business days, separate sick and vacation paid leaves (prorated for part-time employees), and other employee benefits such as optional insurances and flexible spending plans.
    • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job

    Position Highlights

    The is hiring a Verification & Indigent Defense Analyst (Analyst 2).

    In this role...

    You will work closely with the Court's Indigent Verification Coordinator and staff to review processes, analyze key performance indicators, and identify any gaps in processing. You will also work hand-in-hand with courthouse leadership to determine what data elements are necessary to collect and monitor, and how to prioritize data projects. You must be able to effectively communicate complicated concepts both orally and in writing, and be quick on your feet when answering questions about statistical analysis and process.

    The results of your analysis may be used to shift local policies and procedures, as well as inform external stakeholders as to the efficiency and/or effectiveness of programs developed outside of the court's internal structure. Therefore, you should be able to communicate possible downstream effects, both negative and positive, of suggested policy changes and project expected outcomes.

    Most importantly, this position requires flexibility and self-motivation to complete projects in an efficient and timely manner, with minimal supervision, being sure to communicate any barriers to progress and project completion.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Have a bachelor's degree in business, court administration, public administration, or a related field.

    AND

    At least 2 years of increasingly responsible professional-level experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities requirements listed for the position.

    OR

    Any combination of equivalent to 6 years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

    Note: Professional-level experience is defined as:

    • The ability to use independent judgment and discretion in performing work duties.
    • A level of specialized knowledge in the field of work with some authority for independent decision-making.
    • In-depth work requirements, such as data gathering, analysis and interpretation.
    • Interaction with a broad range of individuals.
    • Individual accountability for results.

    Requested Skills and Attributes

    • Knowledge of court processes, procedures, and resources in multiple functional areas.
    • Proficiency using a computer to manage data, perform research and analysis, and present findings to management or a group.
    • Experience writing various reports and other documents providing analysis and recommendations.
    • Experience adapting or developing related policies, procedures, forms, and best practices.
    • Experience communicating with a variety of people from differing educational, socioeconomic, and cultural backgrounds.
    • Experience fostering cooperative working relationships among agencies, community partners, and interested parties.

    Working Conditions

    • This is a full-time position, and the work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position is eligible for overtime compensation for hours worked in excess of 40 per work week.
    • Occasional after-hours or overtime work may be required.
    • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people from diverse backgrounds.
    • Frequent phone and in-person contact with people who may be facing challenging life circumstances or highly stressful situations.
    • Regular use of the following equipment: telephone, OJD-assigned computer with multiple monitors, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
    Parking

    Multnomah Circuit Court does not provide parking for courthouse or justice center staff. Flexible spending accounts are available to reimburse parking or transportation costs up to a certain amount each month, if staff elect to have these funds held from their monthly paycheck.
