Position descriptionVu Lab - Assistant/Associate/Full Professional Research SeriesThe Vu lab at the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging is looking for a researcher who is interested in a professional researcher position at UCSF.
Developing data preprocessing and analysis pipelines to evaluate the MRI technology and their applications in patient and healthy control populations.
Advising and assisting investigators, collaborators, and students in utilizing the advanced MRI technology and data analysis pipelines. Seeking out new funding opportunities and help write grants and proposals. Writing manuscripts and abstracts and giving presentations at professional meetings.Required Qualifications:
Appointees in the Professional Research series must possess a doctorate or its equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or its equivalent in Physics, Bioengineering, Neuroscience, or related fieldsCompletion of post-doctoral fellowship 5 years of MRI research experience3T and 7T MRI preprocessing and data analysis experienceExperience in fMRI task stimulus design and executionTrack record of independent researchExperience in Matlab, Python, and Linux-based command line operationsExcellent teamwork, time management and organizational skillsConsiderable experience in scientific writing: must be able to provide examples of material that the applicant has written including papers, reviews, grant applicationsSee Table 13B for the salary range for this position
