Description

Responsibilities:


  • Conduct functional testing of PCBA using established test procedures and equipment.
  • Perform detailed inspections and measurements to ensure PCBAs meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and identify root causes, working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of test results, failures, and any corrective actions taken.
  • Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve test procedures, test methodologies, and debug tools/capabilities.
  • Assist in the development of test fixtures and test setups as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, new testing techniques, and emerging technologies relevant to PCBA testing.
  • Perform training on established test procedures and interface with other Teradyne Operations groups to assist with training and production readiness

Qualifications:


  • 5+ years experience
  • Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on PCBA testing.
  • Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and quality control processes related to PCBA testing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform precise measurements and inspections.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Familiarity with ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic components.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)

Education:


  • Associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
