Description

Responsibilities:

Conduct functional testing of PCBA using established test procedures and equipment.
Perform detailed inspections and measurements to ensure PCBAs meet quality standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot test failures and identify root causes, working closely with engineering and production teams to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate records of test results, failures, and any corrective actions taken.
Calibrate and maintain test equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and improve test procedures, test methodologies, and debug tools/capabilities.
Assist in the development of test fixtures and test setups as needed.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
Stay updated with industry trends, new testing techniques, and emerging technologies relevant to PCBA testing.
Perform training on established test procedures and interface with other Teradyne Operations groups to assist with training and production readiness

Qualifications:

5+ years experience
Proven experience as a Test Technician or similar role, with a focus on PCBA testing.
Strong understanding of electronic circuits, components, and basic troubleshooting techniques.
Familiarity with various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, and datasheets.
Knowledge of industry standards and quality control processes related to PCBA testing.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform precise measurements and inspections.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with ESD precautions and safe handling of electronic components.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel)

Education:

Associate degree in electronics or a related field is preferred.
