Large Real Estate Development and Management looking for a full-time Construction Supervisor to manage our new multi-family project in Newton, Massachusettes.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Construction Supervisor's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Daily walk jobsite to monitor schedule progress.
  • Create punch lists and track work progress daily
  • Contact subcontractors directly with insufficient work progress.
  • Report to Superior regarding schedule anomalies.
  • Maintain project Finish Schedule.
  • Schedule Final inspectors to maintain project schedule.
  • Meets with building inspector for prefinal inspections for all disciplines.
  • Participates in weekly safety meetings with subcontractor field staff.
  • Report safety violations regarding field operations.
  • Consistently provides supervisors information regarding project issues and challenges regarding schedule as well as inspection status.
  • Answers incoming construction subcontractor related telephone calls.
  • Gathers information and sets appointments in accordance with company policy and procedure.
  • Attend weekly construction meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:


  • 10 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent of education and experience.

TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:


  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and maintain a current forklift operation certificate.
  • Multi-Family Construction Experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Knowledge of construction software a must.
  • Understand each discipline's scope of work and design drawing details.
  • Experience in the Boston Market a plus
