Shade Manhattan Beach is looking for a high energy Host/Hostess to join our team Part Time Shifts/ Weekends and Holidays Required**

DESCRIPTION:

Monitoring Zinc Lounge floor, being aware of what tables are available.
Estimate wait times for guests
Monitor the guest waiting list
Ensure that the needs of the guests are met while they are waiting
Answer telephone in a warm, friendly, professional manner
Book reservations with our Open Table System
Be able to follow instructions in both written and verbal form
Thorough knowledge of our food and beverage and ability to explain them to guests

QUALIFICATIONS:

At least one year of restaurant experience.
Able to greet and seat customers accurately and efficiently.
Make a positive impression at all times.
Guest oriented with high focus on delivering quality service.
Strong communication skills.
Adaptability and the ability to work in a team environment.
Must be able to attend to customers' needs and possess a strong desire to fulfill the requests of the customers at all times.
Ability to engage in casual conversation with customers without sounding too personal.
Handling pressure well along with the ability to set priorities and make decisions based on quality.
Must be well dressed and well spoken.
The hostess is responsible for answering the Zinc Lounge telephone, booking reservations, and moving tables together to accommodate large parties.
Assist in prebussing and clearing all tables after guests departure
Contributes to team effort. Being a team player above all is mandatory
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
