General Description
The front office greets, assists, and consults patients individually regarding their appointments and payments.

Pleasant attitude and customer service skills are used to provide patients of Peak Heart and Vascular with an optimal experience.

Has a strong, confident personality, and a drive to maintain organization in a busy environment.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checks patients in and out
  • Takes copays and balances batch daily
  • Schedules appointments
  • Ensures all calls are taken care of in a timely manner
  • Obtains in office referrals for appointments
  • Obtains authorizations for in office testing
  • Answers questions and gives excellent customer service
  • Exhibits understanding of EMR scanning and indexing procedures
  • Additional duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a medical office environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask
  • Familiar with basic office equipment
  • Good oral and written communication skills including detail orientation and organization
  • Some travel may be required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers; talk and hear
  • Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate

From $18.00 per hour
