Responsibilities:


  • Competitively bid and procure materials, appliances, fixtures, flooring, and supplies for Property Operations, R&M and renovation of apartments. Procure other items as needed for Manor Communities and their Apartment Communities.
  • Work closely with company leadership on purchasing initiatives for projects that support operations, sales & marketing and for property and grounds.
  • Assist VP of Finance in managing the procurement process including negotiating terms and conditions, vendor vetting, management approvals and issuing purchase orders / vendor contracts.
  • Track and support contract and services renewals for corporate office and apartment communities.
  • Update and manage vendor, contracts, asset tracking, and other databases. Maintain cost tracking and records for all vendors and company purchasing.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships including onboarding, insurance requirements, and ongoing business activity.
  • Track onhand inventory levels and partner with management to maintain inventory levels for frequently ordered items.
  • Maintain AppFolio property management system for tracked purchases including monthly accounting entries and associated account reconciliations.
  • Audit, match vendor invoices to purchase orders, code and process invoices in accounts payable.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Management.

Required Skills / Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 25 years of purchasing / procurement experience
  • Knowledge of procurement and vendor management best practices
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Purchasing experience in the property management / construction field is desirable
  • Strong analytical and PC skills including Microsoft Excel

Pay:
$ $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
