"Research for the future" is the credo of our Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology IWU. The focus is on applied research and development in production technology and robotics for the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, aerospace technology, and crafts. An example of an applied, low-code automation solution is the Robo Operator, which we developed and implemented together with two Saxon companies. This serves as one of the technology demonstrators for the advertised position and includes a modular, skill-based control system as a core element.
