    Founding team

    The founding team has an extensive background in the legal industry, consulting, and building ML platforms. Shuo built the ML Platform (Michelangelo) at Uber for 6 years after which he was the head of AI & ML team at a SupportLogic (a series B startup using predictive & generative AI for customer support). Aizada is a graduate of Harvard Law School, an attorney with 7+ years of experience including working at a top law firm such as Cooley and an ex-McKinsey consultant. Assel is a graduate of Harvard Business School and has 7 years of experience building products at FinTechs such as SoFi and Step and at large financial institutions when working at Ernst & Young.

    What we're looking for

    We are looking for a highly-skilled and ambitious front-end engineer with 5+ years of front-end experience who is excited about revolutionizing the legal industry with the power of AI. In this role, you will be responsible for building the 'face' of our AI-powered platform, ensuring that the user experience is as intelligent and intuitive as the technology behind it.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the founding team to implement interactive and modern web interfaces.
    • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code, producing visual elements of the product.
    • Develop and maintain the front-end aspects of our web application, ensuring high performance and seamless integration with our backend.
    • Evaluate and leverage advanced JavaScript/Typescript libraries and frameworks.
    • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
    • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.

    Role requirements

    • 5+ years of professional experience as a front-end/full stack engineer with a proven track record.
    • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3.
    • Advanced knowledge of , and Vercel.
    • Familiarity with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
    • Experience with CI/CD workflows such as Github actions and CircleCI
    • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
    • Knowledge of front-end build tools, such as Yarn, Webpack, NPM, and Grunt.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the start-up culture
    • BS/MS in Computer Science
    • If work remotely, have meaningful overlap with the Pacific Time between 8 am and 6 pm.

    Nice-to-haves

    • Experience working in a small startup environment (Seed or Series A).
    • Experience working with LLMs such as GPTs, Claude or open source LLMs.
    • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
