Location Description: Wakefield stands out as one of the primary production facilities at Michael Foods. This versatile plant can manufacture a wide range of products, from pasteurized eggs to liquid, dried, hardboiled, and curds.

Responsibilities:

Produce high-quality goods at the best possible cost while adhering to good manufacturing practices.
Create a safe work environment for all staff members.
Identify and address operational issues promptly to minimize disruptions.
Coordinate with maintenance, sanitation, and other departments to meet production, sanitation, safety, and warehouse targets.
Promote collaboration among departments for seamless operations.
Manage ingredient usage and departmental expenses.
Maintain accurate records, including timecards and downtime logs.
Enforce company policies consistently and fairly.
Encourage employee suggestions to enhance production, quality, safety, and cost control.
Keep management informed on operational issues, quality, safety, and production costs.
Facilitate regular communication and department meetings.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) diligently.
Ensure a safe and healthy workplace, incorporating safety practices into all tasks.
Adhere to quality standards and report any issues affecting food safety and quality to management.
Comply with regulations at all times.
Perform any other assigned duties.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

Effective coordination and supervision of department functions.
Proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Ability to interpret documents and speak fluently in English.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
Problem-solving skills and ability to operate in varied environments.
Capacity to work independently or collaboratively.
Positive work ethic and openness to change.
Forklift license is advantageous.
Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
