- Assist in purchasing materials, supplies and services at the most favorable terms for the organization.
- Qualifies vendors, evaluates bids and negotiates prices and terms for purchased goods and services.
- Tracks purchases, monitors vendors' quality, and maintains a current database.
- Responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing material and repairs to support material programs.
- Assist on the evaluation of available inventory in the marketplace.
- Ensuring that all purchases have documentation that meet AerSale's Quality requirements.
- Reporting on PO activity as required by Management.
- Preparing and distributing Vendor Management reports.
- Reviewing existing orders and expediting as needed.
- Updating the POs with current price and delivery status.
- Interface with Program Management regarding market availability of material and coordinating purchases for customer programs.
- Complying with Corporate Purchasing policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Coordinate with Corporate Quality to ensure that vendors and purchases meet company requirements.
- Clerical duties include but are not limited to screening phone calls, filing & scanning.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of relevant purchasing, procurement, junior buyer experience in aviation/aerospace products.
- Must be able to work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
- Attention to detail is imperative.
- Must be able to multi-task.
- Must be efficient with a desire to succeed.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.
- Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, such as movement of wrists, hands, fingers while typing.
- May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 10lbs.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time.
