Description
Principal Database Administrator – Responsible for managing Fidelity Brokerage's Db2 on z/OS Platform along with Aurora PostgreSQL and Aerospike on AWS.
The Multi-Platform Database Administration, Delivery and Engineering team administers the Fidelity Brokerage database platform on Db2 z/OS along with data replication to and from Oracle.
The team engages in activities starting with the physical design of the database infrastructure leading up to and beyond deployment such as support, performance tuning, ongoing review, upgrades, maintenance and patching as well as access management.
Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience primarily in~ IBM replication products
~Extensive experience in DB2 z/OS Database Administration in a large complex Database Environment
Extensive experience in SQL, JCL, COBOL
Expertise in distributed technologies (Linux, VSCode, Git, Jenkins) including AWS based Aurora PostgreSQL
Providing Application Database and Replication support for a large DB2 z/OS sysplex environment
Providing Application Database and Data Migration support for an established cloud based database infrastructure
SQL tuning and Performance on both Db2 and PostgreSQL
Maintenance of Databases – Utilities management
