Job SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Production Superintendent will oversee all plant production, materials, equipment and tools to ensure efficiency is maintained and projects remain on schedule for the extrusion department.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintains staff by assisting with recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
- Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
- Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
- Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data, answering questions and responding to requests.
- Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, recordkeeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements, implementing change.
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Works with operations management to resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
- Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Ensures compliance with established safety procedures and training schedules.
- Establishes, evaluate, and monitor departmental training and competencies with recommended action plans.
- Complies with company policy and procedures.
- Maintains constructive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors/managers.
- Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Education/Knowledge
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college
Experience
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of leadership or managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to organize people and tasks; possess leadership skills; have a strong working knowledge of the company and its products.

Communication
Effectively communicate with all levels of employment both verbally and in writing. Interpersonal skills are also required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
