POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Afognak Native Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer (SE).
The SE will primarily be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software and API's using a multitude of development platforms.
A strong focus on software development, business intelligence dashboarding, automation, API integration and process improvement.To be successful in this position you will need to have a robust knowledge of software integration and a willingness to learn 3rd party applications.
Work in cross-functional teams to gather and document software and reporting requirements.Ability to work with other developers collaboratively and professionally.
Analyze, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites.
Create, support, and maintain software applications with MSSQL backend.
Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes.
Investigate and use new technologies where relevant.
Test software development methodology in an agile environment.
Assist in the creation of data ETL pipelines, and dashboards for business intelligence.
Plan and prioritize work to ensure business needs will be met promptly
Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
Develop and distribute support documentation for applications and software patches created in-house.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
Minimum three years of work history in relevant application development, and integration environment
Strong background in software development and relational databases required.
Experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.
Strong Experience and working knowledge of .NET framework,C#,ASP.NET ,HTML5, JavaScript.
Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies.
Strong documentation skills using GitHub, Azure DevOps,Teams and similar tools.
Preferred Experience:
Azure, Visual Studio, SSMS, PowerBI.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a face-paced environment and solve complex problems.
