    Flight Test Engineer

    JHNA is looking for a skilled Flight Test Engineer to join the expanding team in Fort Eustis, Newport News, VA.

    The position is part of a bid and proposal process with a planned start in Fall 2023.

    The selected individual will be involved in supporting the Army's Aviation Development Directorate (ADD) Engineering Design and Analysis Branch (EDandA), providing mechanical design, electrical design, and drafting assistance for various aviation systems Technical Data Packages (TDP).

    All design tasks will utilize Parametric Technology Pro-Engineer/CREO and CREO Schematics CAD software.

    This role will necessitate on-site presence at Fort Eustis, VA.

    Roles/Responsibilities:

    • Plan, execute, and report on developmental flight tests supporting aviation initiatives for ADD, the Army, and government agencies.
    • Coordinate and conduct ground and flight tests for research and development projects.
    • Interact with acquisition agencies, Program Manager's offices, TRADOC System Managers, and contractors.
    • Perform flight engineer test duties from both ground control locations and in-flight across various aircraft types.
    • Ensure compliance with Army Regulation, and potentially act as Test Directors supervising flight test programs.
    • Collect, analyze, and report data from ground and flight tests.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in Aero, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or related field.
    • Active DoD Secret Clearance or Interim Clearance.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in planning and conducting flight and/or ground tests, including Test Director roles.
    • Abide by all flight regulations in accordance with relevant directives and standards.
    • Desired: Graduate of USNTPS.
