We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team at Bridges Health Services.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to our healthcare professionals and ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients in their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities:

Assist healthcare professionals with intake(eligibility).
Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories and vital signs (EMR HospiceMD).
Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Attend and actively participate in team meetings, in-service training, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Certification as a Medical Assistant.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in hospice or palliative care.
Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for patients' rights.
