Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our team.

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for assisting with the cleaning, collection, labeling, packaging, and some shipment of materials for the Customer Service department.

This position is also responsible for performing a variety of material handling functions such as organizing and keeping the warehouse area clean, as well as other miscellaneous tasks as requested by the Materials Manager and Customer Service Department.

• Assists in packing materials for shipping, stock shapes, and fabricated parts.
• Clean, label, wrap, and protect materials for safe transportation or warehouse storage.
• Prepare finish stock and parts for shipment by cleaning, packing, crating, loading, and securing products.
• Keep inventory, loading/shipping areas, and warehouse clean
• Assists in orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished products for final distribution.
• Contribute to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
• Other responsibilities may include lifting heavy material (up to 40 lbs.), operating a forklift/pallet jack, performing inventory reconciliation, updating inventory database, operating hand tools/saws, and weighing and dispensing materials.

Required Skills/Experience/Education:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and leadership.
• Organized and able to multitask.
• Selfmotivated and dependable.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or pallet jack a plus.

Work Environment/

Schedule:

Primary warehouse, and some shop environment with some computer interface. Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), and carrying of product is required.

Work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, with some expanded schedules required for peak order fulfillment needs.
