JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining the supply of service parts, with economic efficiency, in sufficient quantities to meet service level objectives.
Responsible for establishing and maintaining contractual, logístical, warranty, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance and supply relationships with North American and foreign-based vendors for service parts and accessories.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Negotiates and maintains the contractual supply relationships with North American and foreignbased suppliers, including leadtime, supply period, warranty, federal, state, and local regulatory compliance, pricing, delivery specification, packaging, logistics, labeling, and vendor component requirements. Selects the optimum supply strategies given current target inventory objectives, logistics, and purchasing costs.
- Manages supplier performance utilizing available tools to maximize supply chain efficiency. Coordinates new model and postproduction supply effort with AIPDN, suppliers, and others as needed.
- Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Director, Parts Supply
- Direct reports: Parts Supply Supervisor; Senior Purchasing Analyst
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & TRAINING
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Business Management, Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or another quantitative field; or equivalent directly related work experience
- Minimum of five years related work experience within an automotive, commercial truck or agricultural/construction heavy equipment parts supply/distribution environment; three years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
- SAP ECC 6.0 or higher, PTC SPM 11.0 or higher or other related DRP experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE
- Indepth understanding of parts inventory control principles

PHYSICAL STANDARDS
The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer.
This is primarily a sedentary position in a controlled office environment which requires only occasional reaching, stooping, and lifting of office files, reports or records, typically weighing 5 lbs.

MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate organizational units. Recommends modifications to operating policies.
- Responsible for managing staff function or heads a centralized functional activity. Accomplishes results through lower levels of supervision or through experienced exempt levels of employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments.
- Monitors work operations on a daily basis and actively assists, or provides direction to, subordinates as required. May perform, especially in staff or professional groups, ongoing tasks of organizational units. May function as an advisor on all projects and tasks assigned to the organizational units under supervision.
- Frequent contacts with interorganizational and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.
- Requires minimum of five years of related experience.
